Five digital images were merged together for this panorama taken on a steamingly hot day in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Contrast was increased a bit to counter the haze present on the day, otherwise no changes were made to the images (apart from the border and text). The image has been sized down to 66% of the original (it's now only 2927x1008 ) and saved at 80% JPG quality to get it under one meg (just!). I hope that's not too big to download.

Thanks for the comments! The blending did go well, and the scene itself was naturally great.

I can't believe that is five different pictures! You did such a great job merging them. I can't even see any traces of lines. GREAT JOB! +fav

Thanks for your kind comments. Although I merged the images "manually" I did use the panorama software that came with my Canon digital camera, which handles a lot of the trickier stuff (blending edges and distortion) for me. Plus by zooming in a bit when taking the images, I minimised the distortion allowing the software to do a good job.

Wow that is a good panorama. I love it. I love the trees and how the water mirrors them. It's so cute. Just what I would imagine that kind of garden to look like.

Very tight blending indeed.

Ta - I've noticed that the longer the zoom at the time you take your images (the more zoomed in you are), the easier the panorama software seems to find it to make seamless joins.
