This image is of the polar bear at Singapore Zoo, July 2003.

Although Singapore has a magnificent zoo, and the animal seemed quite healthy, he was all alone in his display, and all he did was dive down, swim around, dive down, swim around, over and over. It was hard not to get the impression that the bear was bored out of his mind. Still, for all I know he was having a great time.

This is a great shot, captured perfectly.
The most I ever got from the polar bears at Seaworld was one of the bears with his face smooshed against the glass!

Also make the border smaller about a 5px border.. but still leave about 50px down the bottom for you text..

Thanks for the feedback! You said:

The photo was taken through thick hazy glass I'm afraid, but I liked the image despite this.

I've just tried both of these techniques and the results aren't brilliant, but I shall upload the changes (replacing the original image) as soon as I''ve replied to you.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one - I liek the thick borders. Maybe it's just a phase I'm going through. ;-)
